“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

zIDEALISTS - A place for idealist/visionaries.
LOST = survival, mystery, community, love, life/death, philosophy, psychology, trust, betrayal, relationships…
My birth name is marti (all lower case), but my friends (that's you Gaians and *Zeople too) call me 'mu'.
- Mu Calligraphy Character -
The nickname 'mu' was given to me many moons ago when I was a young pup. It is based on my initials, (and probably because it sounded silly to my friends who made it up, “Moooo”). I have, not coincidentally, resonated with various meanings of 'mu' during this lifetime– in particular the meaning behind the answer to the Zen koan ” Zhaozhou's Dog”- the idea that “Mu” is 'urging us onward beyond thought and reason to a fuller experience of life…urging us to go deeper'. As Ellen & Charles Birx write, “The Mu koan has the power to breath new life into you, to shake you up and wake you up.” Then there is the mystical land of Lemuria, (aka: Mu), which again, is not so coincidental. I have had visions of a 'previous' lifetime as a Lemurian. And what about the Japanese and Chinese variations of Mu, the Greek Letter, The Great White Brotherhood (“Mu” - from Grace Cooke's Teachings of White Eagle), the Star Trek Mirror Universe (Ha!) and other meanings of 'mu' yet to be uncovered…
Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len
“I believe in the brotherhood of man and the uniqueness of the individual. But if you ask me to prove what I believe, I can't. You know them to be true but you could spend a whole lifetime without being able to prove them. The mind can proceed only so far upon what it knows and can prove. There comes a point where the mind takes a higher plane of knowledge, but can never prove how it got there. All great discoveries have involved such a leap.” - Albert Einstein
“This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples;
no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.”
- Dalai Lama
“The most sublime truth of all has never been stated or written or sung, not because it is far away and can't be reached, but because it is so intimately close, closer than anything that can be spoken.”
- Gangaji
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
“To put the world in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must cultivate our personal life; and to cultivate our personal life, we must first set our hearts right.”
- Confucius
“Dare to be naive.” - Buckminister Fuller
“Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.”
- Carl Jung
“A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.” - Oscar Wilde
“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” - Einstein
“The world is but a canvas to the imagination.”
- Henry David Thoreau
“Feelings are not supposed to be logical. Dangerous is the man who has rationalized his emotions.” - David Borenstein
“A man who becomes conscious of the responsibility he bears toward a human being who affectionately waits for him, or to an unfinished work, will never be able to throw away his life. He knows the “why” for his existence, and will be able to bear almost any “how.” - Victor Frankl
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched … but are felt in the heart.” - Helen Keller
“It's time for greatness – not for greed. It's a time for idealism – not ideology. It is a time not just for compassionate words, but
compassionate action.” - Marian Wright Edelman
“My country is the world, and my religion is to do good.
-Thomas Paine
“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge – myth is more potent than history – dreams are more powerful than facts – hope always triumphs over experience – laughter is the cure for grief – love is stronger than death.”
- Robert Fulghum
“You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, I hope someday you will join us, and the world will live as one.”
- John Lennon
