This is a critical part of enlightenment. The ability to control your words, rather than being controlled by them. They don't have to be controlled all the time, but the enlightened person can control words, subjectively and objectively, at will.

Whether we sit with our arms folded this way and our legs crossed that way is of little consequence. But it is extremely important to check and see if whatever meditation we do is an actual remedy for our suffering.

Eventually we will find (mostly in retrospect, of course) that we can be very grateful to those people who have made life most difficult for us.
